This documentation should only be completed by students who participated in the Game Jam at the weekend and wish to fulfil the conditions of option 2:

2. You can participate in the Game Jam and spend time in week 6 writing a reflective blog post about your experience and learning. This should detail the process followed over the weekend. If you can show full participation in the project and reflection on the process through your blog posts you will receive an additional 35 points and this will fulfil your project requirement for this module.

Reflective blog post

You are to fulfil option 2 you are required to complete a detailed reflective blog post.  This blog post is recommended to be between 1,000-1,500 words in length and organised under the following headings:

  1. Introduction – tell a bit about the Game Jam format
  2. Team – who was in your team?  What were the roles?
  3. Organisation and planning – how did you approach the project as a team?  This is a good place to include links to your brainstorms, treatment, Game Design Document etc.
  4. Process/ Production – What elements were you responsible for?  Tell us about your process.  What problems did you have?  How did you overcome these?  You can include code snippets, screen captures etc in this section.
  5. Lessons learned – What are your main takeaways from the experience of participating in the Game Jam?  Did you enjoy it? What did you find most rewarding/ challenging?

You will receive feedback that will indicate whether the details in this post fulfil the project requirements for the semester.  At this point you may wish to Upload your Trailer.  This must be done by week 12.
